New Appointment at Atholls

Property consultant, Atholls have today announced another new appointment in its Aberdeen office. Ross Murray takes up the position of Building Surveyor in the building surveying department.

Prior to joining Atholls, Ross worked in the public sector where he gained extensive experience in a variety of building surveying projects. Ross firstly became interested in construction at an early age as a child when his father, a Civil Engineer, designed and built an extension to their home near Fraserburgh. His early interest in construction eventually led to his leaving the family home and attending Heriot Watt University where he graduated in 2003. Ross subsequently moved back to the North East where he then worked in the public sector where he received his training to attain chartered membership of the RICS.

After 5 years in the public sector, Ross decided to progress his career in the private sector. Commenting on his appointment with Atholls Ross said “I was attracted by the wide variety of work Atholls had to offer and was looking forward to joining the company's professional team and branching into further areas of building surveying work."

Alastair Walker, Managing Partner of Atholls in Aberdeen said:

“Ross’s appointment is another step forward in the development of our Aberdeen office. We are expanding fast and are adapting to the needs of the market. Ross has excellent experience and we are delighted to see him join the Atholls team and help us boost the services we have to offer to clients further. Talented new recruits are the lifeblood and future for our firm and I’m sure that the talent and experience Ross has from his previous career will serve him well in our busy and rapidly expanding building surveying department”
